Tasting of Vintage-Only Krone Cap Classique at Twee Jonge Gezellen estate is by reservation. In an effort to offer our visitors the complete Krone tasting room and terrace experience we have implemented a booking system. The tasting room is open Monday - Saturday: 10:00 - 16:00 and Sunday: 10:00 - 14:00.

Krone’s Site Specific Series explores the most outstanding sites for Cap Classique carving a sense of place from three remarkable sites. The Kaaimansgat Site Specific Blanc de Blancs 2021, a vineyard hidden deep in a blind valley; the Koelfontein Site Specific Blanc de Blancs 2020, from the soaring peaks of the Ceres Plateau; and the Twee Jonge Gezellen Site Specific Blanc de Blancs 2021, hewn from the rocky sandstone slopes of our home farm. Our winemaking team bottles the spirit of the vines, the character of the vintage with the philosophy of each vintage telling its own story.

From site-expressive Cap Classiques to the study of time on terroir, the Ancient Future flight consists of the Amphora Blanc de Blancs 2022 and the R.D. 2013. Both Cap Classiques make use of ancient winemaking techniques to capture the spirit of the vintage.

Twee Jonge Gezellen has the honour of being home to the first underground cellar in Africa. Here, vintage after vintage of Krone is stacked in its coves as well as being hand-turned in traditional pupitres, while the Cap Classique matures on the lees.

Get ready to be immersed in a sensory experience; from the unique characteristics of our Vintage-Only Cap Classique, to the space itself; inspired by our farm's rich heritage with a wide open terrace that acts as a portal for views of vineyards and the Saronsberg Mountains.
The interior design for the estate was inspired by its rich heritage and original architecture, as well as circular forms and natural, earth-friendly materials. Arresting, custom-made pieces by local designers, including Gregor Jenkin, Laurie Wiid and Meyer von Wielligh, add energy to the space.
